Mentoring and Inspiration Journey Started in Amsterdam

The “Formation and Mentoring” Certificate Program, organized within the Education Department of the IDEIS Institute for Education and Research, successfully held its first session on 16 January 2025 in the charming atmosphere of Amsterdam. Emphasizing the importance of working with young people, this program is designed to support the professional development of our mentors and enable them to provide stronger guidance to young people.

The program is more than just a training series, it offers a platform for solidarity and meaningful interaction. IDEIS' esteemed academic staff and volunteer mentors bring together their years of knowledge and energy to create a strong collaboration to support the identity development of young people.

In this first session of the certificate program, the importance of mentoring and the value of touching the lives of young people were expressed in the following statements:

"There is a light inside every young person waiting to be discovered. It is the most sacred duty of mentors to reveal this light and prepare young people for a strong future."

The first day of the program was completed efficiently with in-depth analyses, constructive discussions and a strong communication environment among the participants. The training sessions enabled the mentors to combine their theoretical knowledge with practical work to develop more effective guidance methods for young people.

IDEIS would like to thank all mentors who participated in the Training and Mentoring Program. We are also proud of the successes that the mentors will achieve in their coaching process thanks to the lectures and practices that will be given by other members of IDEIS academic staff in the trainings that will continue for the next three weeks.
